Day 01: Colombo |
Welcome to Sri Lanka ! Upon arrival in Colombo , the capital of Sri Lanka , our representative will receive you at the airport and accompany you to the hotel. After check in to the hotel, we will take you on a sightseeing tour of Colombo starting with the commercial area called "Fort", christened so by the Portuguese and Dutch who had a Fort at this location in the past. Next stop is at "Pettah" - a typical oriental bazaar with a mélange of humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques and temples. Known for its religious harmony, here you can visit a Hindu temple, drive pass Jumi-Ul Alfar Jumma Mosque and continue the tour through the Wolvendaal Dutch Church . From there, we proceed to Hultsdorf Law courts, the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens , the Independence Square and the Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall. Later on, you can indulge in a shopping spree at ceramics corporation showroom, majestic city shopping complex, house of fashion and the "Odel" unlimited dress boutique. After the day-tour, we will transfer you back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Colombo . |

Day 02: Colombo-Nuwara Eliya |
In the morning, after breakfast, we will drive towards Nuwara Eliya via Kitulgala where the famous "Bridge on the River Kwai" film was shot. You can also visit St. Clar's and Devon Water Falls . Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, the heart of Sri Lanka 's tea production accounting for a significant share of the world's best quality tea. Sri Lanka 's highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here. Nuwara Eliya also has one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia . After sightseeing we will take you to the hotel. The afternoon is at leisure. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya. |

Day 03: Nuwara Eliya-Kandy |
After breakfast we will drive to Kandy . En route we will visit a tea plantation and a tea factory as Sri Lanka is very famous for its excellent tea. You will be guided through the manufacturing of tea and also taste the classic Ceylon tea at the factory. Afterwards we proceed with a city tour of Kandy , the last capital of the Sri Lankan Kings. It is earmarked as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive for its cultural significance. We will drive around the scenic Kandy Lake , built by the last Sinhalese King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in the 18 th century. Later visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, the Gem museum and a lapidary centre.
If you are enthusiastic to see more, we will visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. It was built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhalese king and later on expanded by the British. In the evening we will visit the legendary Temple of the Tooth Relic and witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Kandy . |

Day 04: Kandy-Colombo |
In the morning, after breakfast, we will take you to Colombo . On the way we will visit an elephant orphanage at Pinnawala. It is home to about 60 elephants, where majority are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. The best time to visit the orphanage is during the feeding times, when you can see the baby elephants being bottle-fed by their human foster fathers. You can also accompany the elephants to a river close-by and see them bath and splash around in the water. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Colombo . |

Day 05: Colombo-Departure |
In the morning, after breakfast we will transfer you to the airport for the onward flight to your home country. |
